The friendly management and staff.Attention to detail; we were celebrating our Silver wedding but did not tell the Manager Louise until the day. She would have given us a free upgrade has we told her on arrival but gave us free drinks with our evening meal. The waitress Joan was excellent; always to have an extra word. The food was always well presented especially the superb full breakfasts. Also delightful gardens and easy access to Torquay promenade.
We had no complaints.

Spacious rooms, excellent breakfasts, reasonable value, good parking, centrally located, very friendly, homely atmosphere.
TV in the room was somewhat dated, i.e. not HD and small screen. Slight musty smell in the bathroom which was carpeted rather than easy clean surface. No phone in the room.

bright airy room with a good view over the gardens to the sea
Breakfast was pretty poor. Rather greasy and the tea served at the table was absolutely dreadful.

Hotel was very clean and the staff where very friendly and helpful. Went with a friend and we where both unwell dueing our stay, however the staff were very helpful and did everything that they could to help. The room was a good size and there was everything in the room that you needed. Garden was really nice and a quick way done to the sea front. Breakfast was also very good.
The Bar in the basement got very warm and muggy even though the weather was not that warm. A Pot of Coffee on the table at breakfast would have been nice but these are minor criticisms

Allerdale hotel is comfortable ,warm and friendly , My wife and I arrived 2 hours early but welcomed by Louise ,showed us into the large and most beutiful lounge we had ever seen in a seaside hotel where Louise gave us tea and biscuits and. Our room was clean and large with a super kingsize bed over looking the garden with a sea view . Breakfast was excellent ,we had a full English served every day with cereals to choose from ,fruit drink ,grapefruit and yoghourt if required . All in all our stay was most enjoyable and will return .
The only downturn was the shower over the bath should be updated .

We were greeted and made to feel at home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the food excellent. The location was great for the sea front with not to far to walk. Overall we liked it a lot!

The building itself and the main dining area and lounge are lovely, Well kept beautiful ceilings. The room was basic but clean had a good nights sleep. The staff were very nice, always willing to help, had plenty of good humoured banter with them. Breakfast was Great!!
Parking was a bit tight, this was made worse by some dodgey parking, that is down to the residents though. I managed to park on the street when I could not get in. We had to smile, on one of the bath towels was a nasty looking stain, It had been washed and was presented well but obviously slipped through the net, we put it in the bath expecting it to be replaced, this did not happen. All other towels were fine. If you leave a towel in the bath, you would expect it to be changed.

A very friendly welcome, nice and comfortable room. The garden was a pleasant surprise and a lovely place to sit in the sunshine. It was ideally located for the conference centre.
Breakfast was standard cooked breakfast with no frills but reasonable given good value for money. A litttle fresh fruit and fresher cereal would be a bonus.
